Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro — Roxas, Oriental Mindoro Vice Mayor Jackson C. Dy was shot dead by a nonetheless unidentified assailant at a carwash store Friday afternoon, Senior Superintendent Christopher C. Birung, provincial director of Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office (PPO) stated.
Initial investigation confirmed that at about four:30 p.m. final September 22, Vice Mayor Dy, the previous town mayor, was watching a tv present on the carwash store lounge whereas his car was being cleaned in Barangay Dangay.
The assailant casually approached Dy and shot him as soon as.
Dy died on the spot.

Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Aldwin R. Santos, Roxas municipal police chief, stated pursuit operations in opposition to a suspect, recognized as Benjamin Buruanga alias Bangie, 42, of Barangay San Mariano, has been launched.
Santos stated the suspect was a former detainee on the Roxas provincial jail and was launched final September 13 after the homicide charge in opposition to him was dismissed by the courtroom.
