Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro — Police have arrested the hitman who allegedly shot and killed a 49-year-old businessman inside his motorcycle elements shop in Pinamalayan city, this province final Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Christopher C. Birung, provincial director of the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office (PPO), stated at the least three witnesses recognized Victor Generato, alias “Wowie,” of Sitio 6, Barangay Merit, Victoria city because the gunman who killed businessman Rodel D. Cunanan.
Cunanan was entertaining clients at his Cycle Zone Trading at 5:30 p.m. when a gunman sporting camouflage shorts approached him and shot him in the pinnacle utilizing a .22-caliber handgun, stated Birung.
Chief Inspector Alvimar M. Flores, native chief of police, stated the gunman casually walked away after the taking pictures, then boarded a ready Enduro-type motorcycle, pushed by one other suspect, that sped off in the path of the neighboring municipality of Soccoro.
Flores stated investigators tracked down Generato in Victoria and introduced him to witnesses, who positively recognized him because the gunman who shot Cunanan.
Birung stated Generato has a standing warrant of arrest for freeway theft in Lemery, Batangas issued in 2006 and is out on bail for a carnapping case in Victoria in 2013, whereas his trial for homicide and unlawful possession of firearm in Socorro in 2013 is on-going.
Chief Superintendent Wilben M. Mayor, regional director of the Police Regional Office-4B, stated Generato’s cohort now being hunted whereas investigators are figuring out the motive Cunanan’s homicide.
Flores stated probers gathered that the sufferer figured in an altercation with somebody inside his shop final May.
