Naujan, Oriental Mindoro is giving boxing a new twist as part of its 113th anniversary celebrations.
On Facebook, Naujan Mayor Mark Marcos shared photos of “bekxing,” or Boxing ng mga Bading, which the town held for the first time.
According to Marcos, the spectacle was part of the town’s celebration of its founding anniversary.
A lot of people turned out for the novel contest, perhaps curious to see how the fighters fared.
Who knows, it might just give rise to the country’s next boxing superstar. Manay Pacquiao, anyone?
